Pay it Forward

OK, I know I *just* posted, but then I went surfing other people's blogs and learned about Pay It Forward from Kay. (Maybe *this* will keep people entertained, since I don't have any photos for you!)

Here is how it works, according to the creator of this exchange:
It’s the Pay It Forward Exchange. It’s based on the concept of the movie “Pay it Forward” where acts or deeds of kindness are done without expecting something in return, just passing it on, with hope that the recipients of the acts of kindness are passed on. You all know I’m already a PIF type of person. So here’s how it works. I will make and send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment to this post on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I do not know what that gift will be yet, and it won’t be sent this month, probably not next month, but it will be sent (within 6 months) and that’s a promise! What YOU have to do in return, then, is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.

So I signed up on Kay's blog and am now taking sign-ups here myself--the first three people to join in by signing up in the comments get to be part. Like it says, no promises about how fast your present will make it (but within 6 months). And if you sign up, you're pledging to also join in and pay it forward as well. :-)

I'm in. :-)

I love the idea of (almost) completely random acts of kindness.

One year when I was raising my small children, a family left little surprises by my door for the 12 days of Christmas. It was heartwarming. And now this is my chance to "pay it forward" too.
